Drive safe with the Q7 Heads Up Display

This week I had the opportunity to try out the Q7 Heads Up Display. The Q7 Heads Up Display has been designed for drivers’ safety, especially for high-speed driving at night. It helps keep the drivers eyes on the road by projecting important information (such as speed) onto the windshield. The Q7 is connected through a 12V car charger import and works through satellite like a GPS. The 5.5” screen has a multi coloured design which makes it easier to read. The H.U.D displays speed, driving direction, driving time, driving distance, time, number of satellite connections, altitude, and a speed alarm.

A charger, manual, projective sheet, and sticky mat is included with the Q7 Heads Up Display.


My First Impression:

When I was first told about the H.U.D, I was eager to try it out. The thought of having all the important information projecting onto my windscreen, made me relieved as I wouldn’t have to look in different places to find the information I needed whilst driving. Everything would be in one handy spot.

Mounting the H.U.D on to my car dashboard was surprisingly simple and I was able to adjust it easily. Once it was placed in the correct spot, I powered it up and changed the settings. I was able to do this by following the user manual.

I tried it out in daylight and night time. Both were very easily read-able but I felt it was clearer to read after sunset. The speed was displayed larger and in the centre, with the remaining information surrounding, which is helpful as it is the most important.

The H.U.D did not make any eerie noise or flashing lights which I found good as there were no distractions.
